She Waited 10 Years to Hear “Mum”

Are you a mum who is solo parenting in this season of life? It could be, you are physically in a seperate continents like I am from my hubby.
Or it could be, you are married but the marriage has actually stopped supporting you and your child in any shape or form? Like many of my students.😞
Or you may have a wonderful helping father which is also predominant in our community.
Life is a mix you see…. You struggle in one area but God eases another. But you never will have heaven on earth. Thats the test of duniya.
I myself have been a single mom in my EARLY 20s!
My then (now ex) husband was notorious womaniser and completely careless of my needs .
I raised Abdullah Abrar for 6 years on my own and then when I remarried he suddenly felt like he needs to assert his FATHERHOOD !
Some men are like that.
So do we wait hands in mouth for them to care back?
I tried. It backfired and never felt respectable.
Needing someone desperately creates a sense of power to the person desired.
That is dangerous. It blurs line between where you start and ends.
I then had a husband who loves and cares about us and still, we have other glaring issues that needs constant work.
Life is like that.
I have worked with mums from all walks of life. Different culture, religion, economic and political backgrounds.
Single moms, Married moms, moms divorcing husbands in the middle of their journey.
Moms who do everything because the husband is just in name.
Do we then wallow in self pity and just go into depression?
Or do we pull ourselves up, because if they had cared enough from the beginning we would not be at this precipice?
And then on top of that, the task of being an autism mom comes with its sheer share of confusion.
Does your child have heavy metal toxicity? PANS/ Pandas? Lyme disease? Parasite/ molds/ candida-yeast infection?
Why is all the naturopathic or medical doctor visits not working?
